Error Code 0x87e00031

I keep getting this error code 0x87e00031 when attempting to install "The Lamplighter's League" onto my Win10 PC via Xbox app via PC Game Pass. I downloaded the demo earlier on Steam and it worked fine. I have since removed the demo, restarted the computer, and updated Windows. I have also tried to download "Starfield" and "Grounded" with none of them installing, and it gives me the same error code.

Hi, this didn’t work. It said it required an update followed by installation stopped.

Also when you click on the game then it gives error code 0x87e00031

If you're installing on on external storage device try installing on internal storage

This reply did not help at all. The error code as described in original post describes not being able to install games and apps, and nothing to do with launching them.

This seems to be a common problem for a lot of people since the last xbox system update, god forbid microsoft fixes something that actually needs fixing instead of creating more problems.

Would love to hear of alternate solutions on how to fix this problem.
