Error code 0x87dd001a

When my eldest son is playing his Xbox One S he is often kicked-off with an error code 0x87dd001a saying he isn't connected to the internet. There are no problems with the internet connection as my other son is usually playing online on his Xbox One at
the same time. There are a few other devices connected to our WIFI so the problem seems to be the Xbox One S. This problem has been happening for over a year, can anyone help?

Xbox Live is currently experiencing technical difficulties. The XBL team hasn't issued a statement or service alert just yet, but @XboxSupport has confirmed this is something they're looking at.

I am having the same issue. It was fine this morning, but is completely dysfunctional in the afternoon.
