Error code 0x82d40006

I have downloaded the GTA5 on my console. tried to launch the game and received the error code 0x82d40006. My subscription with ultimate is still on going. My fiance; who also tried playing the game on our other console; said it worked perfectly fine for him. But when I tried signing him in on my Xbox to play it, it still said the same error code (even though he was able to play it on his account on the other console) Any advice?

If your fiance paid for the game using his account, you can set his account as home Xbox on your console to share the game. Your home Xbox lets you share games and content with other people who sign in to it with their profile.

To set his account as Home Xbox, Please select System > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

I recommend that you try the solutions below, please.

Solution 1:

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

Solution 2:

Go to console settings, general tab>network and internet settings>advanced options>alternative mac address>click clear. After that restart your console.

Solution 3:

Please uninstall the game and follow the steps below.

Eject the disc from your console.

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage devices.

Select Clear local saved games.

Select Yes to confirm.

Once your console restarts, try installing the game again.

It was bought via CDKeys, which provided me with a redeemable code, I have both the code and purchase confirmation for the game, it was also working fine last night, however today, not so much 🙄

You may want to try the troubleshooting steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear

Then select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

Also, It would be great if you can delete the local save of the game.

If the issue persists, try to soft reset the console:

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

I recommend that you contact CDKEYS and report this as well, as Microsoft only supports games purchased through the Microsoft store.
