Error Code 0x82d40004 Fallout 76

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately niether option worked. We removed the account and added it back as well as try a hard reset. The only option left is a soft factory reset. Where can i find this option in my Xbox menu?

You can do the soft factory reset by going to Settings> System> Console Info> Reset the console> reset and keep my games & apps.


Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(as
they will be removed)
and have easy access to your internet network.

We understand that you're experiencing an issue concerning the inability to launch Fallout 76 without the error regarding to insert a disc into the console.

Seeing as you mentioned buying the game digitally, it is always best to confirm the game purchase within your
Microsoft order history as a starting point. If you see the game,
remove the account and then add it again.

Try a power cycle for the console:

1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button
   on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
   
2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
   Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
   
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button
   on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Another option is a
soft factory reset of the console, reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email
and passwords for your Xbox profiles.
