    Hello xbox community!

    I have a problem i need help with.

    So i tried to play the game red dead redemption 2 but it said i have to ask for permission. When i sent the message asking for permission it showed me error code 0x80a40026 and when i looked it up i couldn't find anything.

    Someone please help!

    Have you figured out anything yet? My son is having the same issue
    I just had this same problem with my son's account when he tried to play fortnite. Had to remove his account from the xbox and sign back in to fix. Thankfully he didn't lose anything.

    If You Have Bought The Game On The Account You Are Trying To Play On I Do Not Know. Ask A Parent To Sign In To The Parent Account And Then Go On The Game Then Press "Select Account" Choose The Account You Got The Error On And It Should Work Fine.

    try going through to Xbox live chat support as they may know the error code or try Rockstar support if your unable to find the error code anywhere.

    don't know if you tried the obvious.

    re-install game

    reboot console

    reconnect internet connection (wired or wireless)
