Error code 0x80190193 on PC, and the support desk tells me to...update my console...?

To ensure that you get the best help the Forums can offer, I believe the Original Poster of this thread has left and I highly recommend starting a thread of your own so that your issue may get the proper attention it deserves within the forum. The only reason I recommend this is because most if not all PCs tend to be extremely unique in condition, composition, and many other factors that may be affecting you, that are perchance, not effecting the original poster. The error code after some research is tied to an update issue on Windows I believe. So the Support Agent's heart was in the right place, however, I suppose they expect to only see Xbox issues not Windows issues cross their plate. Specifically its probably this page they referred to: Error 8019019x occurs when you try to update your Xbox One console software | Xbox Support. Though it is on the Xbox App (an assumption, let me know if I'm wrong) - Windows error codes sometimes hit games and other programs. So, I'm sorry their directions were not the ones you're looking for, but I hope you can understand their confusion and at least their attempt to offer help.

To that effect - I genuinely could not find any documentation on our end that pertain to this error code but it seems to be an issue with an interaction between something and a firewall issue. Something to try (I recommend closing literally everything else - browser, programs, anything that uses internet beyond the Xbox App). Turn off your firewall - try again see if it works. If it does, let the download finish, turn it back on, see if the game launches.

I am also assuming you are using Windows 10, if you're not, that clarity would help on if you're using Windows 11 or not.

Hey XBF John and Georges C. I'm having a similar problem. I paid for this Xbox game pass for PC and I cannot download any games. After I get anywhere in the download in any one of these games, I want to download it will stop in orange and tell my I'm doing something wrong. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. All it says is this error code and that I don't know anything about computers. I would love to get this figured out so I can play all these wonderful games. I've tried turning off my firewall and updating windows but there's nothing else I can do. Solutions would be wonderful because me and my friends have the same problem and need this figured out.
