Error code 0x80080005 on Xbox new gen

Ok so I have been having this problem when I plug in my 2tb seagate hard drive it just doesn’t allow me to run any games or even load up any apps sometimes it does allow me see the games but most of the time it does not.

Mind you this is a new Xbox and hard drive because it happened also on my old gen Xbox and hard drive at first it worked perfectly but then I decided to dose load some games on the hard drive the next day the problem occurred now every time I have the hard drive connected to my Xbox it doesn’t allow me to load any games help me .

( the Xbox works perfectly when the hard drive isn’t in)

Hi, is always recommended to do this with a PC. (OS doesn't matter, can be a Mac, Linux, Windows)

Because the slow format option is available only there. (I ask the slow format option to delete completely or wipe bad blocks)

If you want and if you have an Android phone you can get an OTG cable and format the drive in that way if possible

Hey is there any other way I can format the hard drive I don’t have pc or a windows that has a usb port I also can’t do it on the Xbox it does not allow me to do anything with the hard drive in the Xbox

May i know if you tried connecting the drive to the PC, once connected format it but uncheck the "quick format" option and when the format process ends
Connect it again to the console and see if the issue persists?

If you want to know how to format it once connected to the PC open file explorer > my computer > right click on the drive > format
