    Error code 0x800704c6, can't download or update some games.


    Some games are able to be downloaded/updated, others not. Some can be downloaded but not updated when an update is available. I get the error code and the app suggests it's a network issue, but I've done all the networking troubleshooting I possibly can and there's no solution.

    I think I'll cancel my Game Pass subscription until this is resolved.

    I don't think that it's that. Although supposedly I'm not the expert, this exact issue is happening to me, albeit with slightly different error codes. Except instead of me reinstalling, the game just simply stopped being detected as a game once I manually cancelled an update.

    Edit: In case you were wondering, the download error code I'm receiving is 0x800704C6. However, I can't get the failure to launch code nymore because Windows doesn't think it's installed anymore.

    Thankyou for the reply, I just tried this and still as soon as I hit 2% of the download the Mb/s goes down to 0 and gives me error code 0x800704c6, grr

    Hi,

    Are you not able to re-download NMS? If you uninstalled and then downloaded it again, you should now have the latest version.

    Game Pass app doesn't work the same way as other downloading services on PC like Steam, Origin or Epic Store. Game Pass app doesn't download anything itself, it's more of a portal, downloads are completed via the Windows Store, including updates.

    Generally if there is a download issue it will be with Windows Store, not Game Pass.
