    Logged in today, fallout 76 needed an update, large one, had to switch drives, launcher would not let me migrate so i uninstalled and reinstalled. when launching the game it says error, eventually popping up with error 0x8007048f.

    i have uninstalled and reinstalled the game

    i only had it though game pass, so i BOUGHT the game, downloaded the app, same error.

    ran as admin, same error

    uninstalled, reinstalled through game pass app, same error

    ran as admin, same error

    uninstalled reinstalled as above

    changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, same error

    uninstalled reinstalled

    deleted all cache data for, microsoft store app, xbox game pass launcher and fallout 76, same error

    uninstalled reinstalled

    contemplated throwing keyboard through steel wall in anger and frustration, 7 hours down the drain on this BS

    I have put money into this game for cosmetics, and now actually outright bought it to try and fix this issue.

    I tried bethesda for help and never got more than "restart your computer, re download the game, check to see if the server is down" all robotic replies, when i could even post a ticket over there. half the time the SUBMIT button never worked.

    I need help!

    i bought pc Ultimate game pass, then i bought fallout 76 on pc Ultimate game pass.

    fallout 76 is free, on steam and bethesda.net, it is the account you pay for.

    Fallout 76 is an online only game. It requires at least Game Pass Core to play it.
