Error code: (0x8007042b) when running Deep Rock Galactic

When I try to open Deep Rock Galactic I keep getting the error code: (0x8007042b).

I have tried running as admin, verify and repair, reinstalling but still I get this error. It seems to occur every month or so and will go away after an Xbox app update.

Anyone know how to fix this issue permanently as it's not ideal having games be locked out for a few days every few weeks.

I've followed all the steps you gave but I am still getting the same error message when trying to run Deep Rock Galactic and Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Try to use the System File Checker and DISM to repair broken, corrupted or missing system files:

Go to Start > Search for Command Prompt > Right Click > Run as Administrator. Run one command at a time:

sfc /scannow

chkdsk /r

chkdsk /f

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

If the issue persists, try to restore your Operational System via the ISO Image Tool. You will be able to maintain your installed games and files.

Download it > Open the ISO image tool > Open setup.exe > Select upgrade > Download from the cloud > Keep games and apps.

After the repair, download all updates available for Windows (optional updates too) and reset the game:

Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Deep Rock Galactic > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

On your hard drive, there is a folder called ''WpSystem'', take ownership of the folder and rename it to ''WpSystem.old'', save and try downloading the game again.

If the problem persists, follow this path, delete everything from the folder, restart your PC and try downloading the game again.
