You never stated which console you were using. Xbox 360 or Xbox One?

You need to be a bit more specific.

What type of console are you using?

WiFi or wired to connect to XBOX Live?

Is 82 the whole error code?

Eg...

• 0x82D40003
• Sign in with the account that purchased the game or app, or, if it's a trial version that has expired, purchase the game or app from the Microsoft Store.

Error E82 is displayed when you use your Xbox 360 console
You see the following error and message on your Xbox 360 console:

System Error: Contact Xbox Customer Support

Error E82

This means there could be a problem with the console.

Yeah I just had to send in my 360 slim in for an E-82 error. Its the Halo Reach console. I contacted support and they told me E-82 error is caused by an intermitten connection inside the xbox.

How do I factory reset the console? I have an error code E 82 and i reset it like the old xbox 360's and it worked for about 5 minutes until I turned the console off by unplugging the power cord. then I went to power on again, it was back to the old error
code E 82 again.
