    Error 803c0008


    After downloading The Hobbit (The Desolation of Smaug) I received Error 803c0008 when trying to play it. I am trying to watch it using the same machine on which I downloaded the video. I went into my system storage and deleted the video, then re-downloaded
    the video and tried to play it again, only to receive the same error code. Can you please give me specific instructions on how to fix this? Thanks.

    Can't watch movies

    I keep receiving error code 803c0008. I recently rented lord of the rings and can't watch it. What's going on?

    Error 803c0008

    That error code suggests there is no license for the movie or the file is corrupted. Did you rent it? If so, when? You only have 48 hours to view it.

    If you purchased or rented it recently then you should contact phone support for more assistance. 1-800-469-9269 if you live in North America.

    I purchased the movie yesterday; there should be no deadline for viewing it. I understand what the error code means; I just don't know how to correct it. I tried calling phone support at 1-800-469-9269, but the call went nowhere. I chose option two for
    downloadable content, and it sounded like my call was routed somewhere, but then there was silence for more than five minutes. I tried calling again and received the same result. I have seen in other posts where some have erased their caches or licensing
    rights - I don't want to do anything like that without direct instructions on how to do so.

    Sorry to hear the call went nowhere. Try again but this time press 0 to get routed directly to an agent.
