Error code when trying to download game through Xbox Game Pass for PC. Windows 10, Version 21H2. All games are affected. Before this, I try to launch Forza Horizon 5 and it keeps bringing up the microsoft gaming services in the microsoft store. So I uninstalled and try to reinstall these games and get error 0xd05e0118. Can someone please help, I've been enjoying game pass, but this might be the last straw. Forza Horizon 5 can not launch half the time since it just keeps bringing up the microsoft gaming services without any options to update or install. Thank you.

Please try this:
Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

If everything's up to date now, do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

If it still doesn't work you're going to uninstall the games services using a powershell command:

In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" (without the "")

Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

Hi there, I'm also getting the same error code when trying to download Fallout New Vegas on Windows 11. I have downloaded other games before successfully. But right now it's just with this one. I'll add to this post if I notice it with others.

Do you have this error on all games or just a specific game?

Are you running Windows 10 or 11?

Also, did you try any troubleshooting already?

Hello Whencheese. have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10 and 11.

make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed.

If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update and then make all subsequent security updates.

Also make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.
