Error 0xc00d7159, Xbox one s

Cant watch purchased videos on console, ive tried rebooting, factory reset, different hdmi. Nothing works, guess my 6 year old tv isnt compatible

i tried both types of reset, th error message that pops up says

"cant play, make sure your tv is connected and turned on, also it must be compatible with hdcp.''

I have an odd feeling that my tv is too old. Nothing has helped,games are fine but video player isnt

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums!

I would recommend a power cycle on
both the TV and the console at the same time for about 2 minutes. The most you would need is 5 minutes. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Power it back on and wait until you
see the green "XBOX ONE" animation loading screen when you power it back up.

You can also try it on another TV. If you don't have one at home, check to see if you can take it to a friend or family member's house.

Hey there jeff,

Sorry to hear you are running into these problems with the console. Along with that error code that you are seeing are you getting any message with it?

The factory reset that you attempted was this a full reset or did you keep your games & apps?

Same issue with me since I update my xbox 360 to a xbox one S I cannot view my purchase movies, and it has the same error message like everyone on this thread. I try everything that is recommended by the Xbox tech team and nothing has been able to solve
this issue. However, it says the trailer of the movie's fine, but not able to view movie without receiving this error code "0xc00d7159. What's the purpose to upgrade consoles now you cannot view your purchase movie now due to no HDCP compatible, unless you
now need to purchase a new TV that's HDCP compatible....Microsoft, this does not make any sense...can someone at Microsoft explain this.....
