Error 0x87e1001b when inviting friend into fortnite lobby. .

I'm on series x and my friend is on xbox one.

When I invite them to join my game, we get this error code which states:

"You can only join this game session on Xbox Series X/S"l

If I search for further help, the xbox support tells me to install the correct version of fortnite, but there is only 1 version of fortnite, so should be able to play together. Epic games support had no fix either

Is this your first time trying to play with an Xbox One player on Fortnite?

Please check the steps below and make sure it's turned on.

Go to the Menu by pressing Start and scrolling down to the gear icon.
Click on Settings.
In Settings, go to the Account And Privacy tab.
Scroll down to Gameplay Privacy to find Allow Cross Platform Play.
Set to Yes to turn crossplay on or No to turn it off.

Are you inviting them through the Xbox guide or the in-game friends menu? Fortnite and Warzone allow you to invite friends through either menu.

Sounds like your friends may be in a MW2 multiplayer lobby, not Warzone. They have to be in a Warzone lobby for you to be able to join.

It will not show her profile when I click add friend in the lobby and when she sends an invite it says cannot be accepted but I can invite and except request from another friend

Should be able to adjust it in party settings before making a party.
