    Hello good afternoon. Since I updated my Xbox One I have been having a problem moving my games to an External HD. Whenever I try to move a game to my External HD I get the error 0x87e00008, and before I was not having this error while moving my games

    1. Game download status keeps disappearing after a restart. I have to go back to the game page to install. Rather than pressing the menu and install like the past.

    2. Games that are rdy to play but are still downloading, are not able to continue downloading. Since the game is not in queue anymore and only allows play.

    That error code means that the games that you trying to move didn't install correctly or has an update pending ( Error Code 87E00008 | Xbox One Game Launch Error
    )

    In that case, because you trying to move, if you want really on the external HD, try to uninstall them, and then install them directly on the external HD. You can find this options in Storage Settings.

  6. Somehow, when I uninstall a game and install again, I can move the same pro HD normally, but this is happening with pretty much every game I'm downloading lately. thank you all for the answers

    Please try the steps one at a time to resolve the issue.

    Solution 1: Repair the Gaming Services app.

    Please go to Settings > Apps > Apps Features. Select Gaming Services, then click Advanced options. Click the repair button, try launching the game again using the Xbox app and see if it works.

    Solution 2: Uninstall and reinstall the Gaming Services App

    Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

    In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

    Restart your device and try to install the game again.

    Can't move games from a hard drive to another storage device on Xbox Series X

    Hi I moved all my games from the hard drive I mentioned minus the one game that was giving me trouble. I tried the restarting fix you mentioned, but I'm still getting the same problem. "Content is still installing." (0x87e00008)

    To clarify, I checked the queue to see if anything's installing and there is none in there. So I don't know what's causing this issue.
