Error 0x80bd003c

My Samsung Portable SSD T5 (1TB) was set up so my captures would be saved there. So the most important thing first: it already worked once!!!

Then suddenly it stopped working. Instead my Xbox Series X is set for saving my captures now and if i try to change it back, this error code comes up.

So i "have to format my SSD to NTFS" but it obviously already is, since it worked before.

I tried pretty much everything already:

- Format it again to NTFS

- Format it to something else and back to NTFS

- Format it as MBR and GPT

- Format it using the Xbox and back to NTFS

- Changed USB-Cable

- Switched USB-Ports

- Power Cycled the Xbox

If anyone has any tips i would be very thankful.

Hi there,

i already saw this one and many other posts but this doesn't work for me unfortunately. My SSD doesn't have any partitions. It's just the one volume. I'm also using a Windows PC so that's not it either.

It would be the only explanation for the problem to happen only on Xbox series x, which is weird.

On your console try the following procedures.

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

Select to keep your games and application so that they are not deleted, if this option does not solve the problem, choose to delete everything from the console, as there might be something corrupted. Make sure you know your password and email as you will need to add them to the account again.

*If the alternative above does not solve the problem, choose to do an offline update on your console, please follow the instructions in the article below.

If even that doesn't work, try testing another HD or SSD if you have it because there might be a problem with it.
