Error 0x80a40010 on Xbox One console and 0x8015DC0B on Xbox app

Hi;

I'm a regular customer of Xbox games and a gold member for 2 years. Yesterday I came back from work and found out that I can't login into my Xbox console: Error
0x80a40010.

I tried several times and failed. Tried Hard reset, tried removing power for a while. No luck. Then I removed my account to add it again, and also no luck.

Then I tried to log in Xbox app on Windows 10. Same thing with a different error code: 0x8015DC0B.

I'm not sure what's happening right now. I'm from Iran, so I always take my country itself into account; but I saw on Reddit, users from Ukraine and some other countries have the same problem. Xbox status shows everything is alright, but for us, it is not.

So, WHAT IS HAPPENING MICROSOFT? Are we banned for life because of US sanctions? Is it a Trump thing? Should I say goodbye to my EA access subscription? My Gold membership? To Witcher? To Forza? To Halo? To upcoming Cyberpunk? To MKX? To
FIFA? Hyper Light Drifter, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Batman, Anthem, Injustice,...?!

What's going on here? Is it from our side? Is it you? Can you at least clarify that for me?

Can not sign in to my Xbox One account error 0x8015DC0B

Я тоже с Украины, обнаружил вчера вечером. На консоле тоже ошибка 0x80a40010, на винде 0x8015DC0B. Просто я выкосил учётку с консоли, сейвы не поднимет теперь наверно.

I'm from Ukraine, the same error 0x80a40010 on Xbox, and error 0x8015DC0B (XO_E_ACCOUNT_COUNTRY_NOT_AUTHORIZED) on Xbox app on Windows 10.

Workaround: disable network on Xbox, you will be able to login and play locally

 

What country are you from? Whole Ukraine is suffering from this right now. I've managed to bypass this by buying a new router with VPN client support (xiaomi router 3g with padavan firmware).

 

I am from Ukraine and have the same problem, one week i can't use my xbox because of error 0x80a40010,the support has told me that they know about that and some fix will be, but i still can't use my console.

Dear Microsoft you made my console in a piece of plastic wtf I cant use it i have bought it to use and now i can't do that!!!!

I'm from Iran. As far I know it isn't restricted to one or two countries. I saw on Xbox Support's twitter account people from different locations have the same problem. Even within USA.

For myself, since my work location is far away from home, I don't know exactly when this has began, but I saw in local forums that a lot of people in Iran facing the same problem. I hope Microsoft issues a solution for this problem.

 

For now there is only one workaround - vpn.

 

First you buy your Xbox 300 $ than you buy games and gold(let it be 500$) than you can't use your console without vpn oh great))) Microsoft why i have baught your gadget? what a shame

 

As we wait for MS to solve this, you can use a VPN or manually configure your DNS settings to bypass this error.

I'm from Iran. I have the same problem from 3 days ago.

You can disconnect your wireless network and sign in to play offline.

We all hope that this problem will be fixed soon.

 

Do you have any specific DNS in mind? I hear about
178.22.122.100 a lot. I doesn't work for me. However I guess it is already overloaded by users from all around the world; specially since it belongs to an Iranian company and as far I know, it isn't tuned for such a heavy load.

 

hi, i'm also from iran and suffer exactly this problem too. BUT surprisingly in my android phone just when I connect to a US proxy it works and connects to "Xbox live" service with android Xbox app, otherwise throw an error!!!

So I try any kind of setting for proxy on my PC and get no answer just error code: 0x8015Dc0B.

I think there is a ban from Microsoft itself, but I don't know why proxying traffic on PC won't work except on android.

If you are using a Windows 10 OS, you should know Metro/Modern apps on Windows 8/10 work a bit different from regular/classic softwares we are used to. You should set them separately for proxies/VPNs. Use an app like
fiddler to connect them.

And about these two annoying errors on Xbox system: As far I know, it isn't just for Iran. I saw users from within US in Xbox Support twitter account that have reported the same issue. I hope at some point MS releases a hotfix for this problem. However there
is always a probability that all this is coming from inside the borders and the government is the one who is messing with IPs, like what they did with Google services for a while afew years ago.

For now, we have only two options: using an alternate DNS (like 178.22.122.100 which isn't working for me) or using a VPN.

However you always have a third option: turn off your console and read a book. )

 

exactly, I use Fiddler program with a payed VPN service that has multiple servers around the world especially in US.

I don't know, so if there is a global issue why proxying in android solve this problem?! with this in mind that without it there is no luck.

ps: I just want temporary connection for getting Microsoft rewards and fixing annoying problem like this **** not for play

 

About Fiddler, I chose exempt all and now the Xbox app can connect through VPN.

And about the problem, my hope is that it's an international problem, but Microsoft's silence on the matter makes me think it isn't something they can fix. Specially considering it is more than 20 days since the problem has begun.
