Error 0x80242022 happens when I try to install the Xbox App

I'm sorry you are experiencing this problem, please check Windows Update for the latest updates, install them and then restart.

Try again, if that doesn't work I suggest you follow these steps:

Press Windows key + Q
Type: troubleshooting
Press enter
Type: tent

Double-click Windows Store apps. Follow the instructions on the screen, and I suggest you rename the software distribution folder by following the steps below and check if it helps:

1. Type cmd in the search bar.
2. Right click and select "run as administrator"
3. Copy the following command and press Enter after each line:

wuauserv net stop
cd %systemroot%
ren SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
wuauserv net home

4. Restart the computer and try downloading the applications.

Okay so I have done all that and I followed that link. When i try to install gaming services i get a generic something happened on our end. If I install via xbox app it takes for ever then gives me an error, I don’t have error currently as I have the app uninstalled. But when i searched in the list you have it comes up as an error for xbox console. The app on windows store has all one star reviews for this issue.

When I try to install through an external instal it says hard error, if I try to access the Xbox app files and the store it says it's overrun..

When did this error start to happen? As soon as you installed Xbox App or it started after some time?

are you trying to install using the microsoft store? or the xbox beta app for windows 10?, if it is the app then I would recommend you to reinstall the app, it is in beta phase, errors like this one can happen
