    Error 0x80122727 trying to redeem £5 Xbox LIVE Card


    I've just bought a 12 Month Live Starterack from Amazon.co.uk, included
    12 Month Xbox LIVE    , Max Curse of the Brotherhood and
    £5 Xbox LIVE Card



    The codes for the Live and game both worked but when I enter the code for the £5 credit the system accepts the number, tells me I am redeeming a £5 prepaid card and to press confirm. When I press confirm I get the error number in the subject above



    I've tried the code via both the XB1 console and the xbox.com website.

    Please can you help resolve this.

    Amazon.co.uk £5 prepaid codes received with 12M Xbox Live not working

    Hi there,

    Purchsed 12M Xbox live with free £10 (2x £5) credit from Amazon.co.uk on July 12th.

    Have been trying to redeem codes but keep getting an error message Error 0x80122727

    The code recognises that it is for £5 but when I click redeem it says "something went wrong"

    Spoke to Sarah P on Live chat and she confirmed codes were showing as active but advised I post here for a resolution.

    Please advise!

    Status Code: 80122725

    This means that the card was not activated at the retailer.

    Solution

    To resolve this issue, return the card to the retailer and ask them to activate it.

    Attempting to redeem on the 360 console gave me the error code that I looked up below:
