Error 0x80073cf4 with 697 GB free

I just bought and installed an XB360 game (GTA4 for what it's worth) from the digital store, when I try to start the game it says it's starting and will take a second, then tells me it can't install and to clear more space with code 0x80073cf4. I have
697 GB free, so it can't really be a space issue. I did a little looking around at other posts. I've cleared local saved games, cleared 360 saved games and cleared the alternate MAC address, but still get this error when I try to start it. Any advice? Using
an Xbox One S if that matters. Thanks!

The reset worked! Tried a power cycle and wound up not being able to sign in at all afterwards, but the subsequent reset seems to have fixed everything. Thanks so much to everyone who weighed in!

Have you tried a quick power cycle? To do this hold the Xbox button down for 10 seconds, then power it back on.

No luck. I removed and then downloaded my profile, but am still getting the same message when trying to launch this particular game: "Clear some space: Your Xbox doesn't have enough room for this. To install it, uninstall something else, then try again.
(0x80073cf4)".

Hey there BGUM!

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this error trying to launch GTA.

I would say that if the previously posted troubleshooting steps didn't do the trick, that maybe a soft reset might.

It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games
&
apps.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We're sorry to hear that the Xbox 360 game is not able to launch. We suggest deleting your Xbox profile from the Xbox 360 storage on your Xbox One. We will provide steps on how to remove your profile. Once
you have removed the profile from the Xbox 360 storage, we recommend downloading the profile back to it. You must know the email address and password of your account before these steps are taken. Be sure to let us know the results!

How to remove your profile:

Launch an Xbox 360 game on your Xbox One
Wait until you get past the Xbox logo and press the
View and Menu buttons at the same time to pull up the Xbox 360 guide
Go to Settings and look for storage settings
Select profiles
Delete your profile(Profile only) Do not delete profile and items

How to download your profile:

Once your profile has been removed, press the View and
Menu buttons at the same time to pull up the Xbox 360 guide
Select download profile
