    I have a problem when trying to detect a hard drive on the xbox, it is very strange because at first it detects the hard drive but when it comes to formatting it to be able to install games nothing comes out, as if I had never connected a hard drive, I already tried do all i could and it just wont fix, please i need help

    Did you try to format the hard drive on a computer? If not, please try and make sure the file system used is NTFS, not FAT32.

    - Go to Start > Computer > Right Click the drive you wish to check > Properties.

    - In the Disk Properties window, you will see it next to File system.

    If it's FAT32, just convert it to NTFS:

    Open a command prompt window by typing Command prompt in the Windows search box. Right click on it and Run as administrator. Type:

    convert E: /fs:ntfs

    Press Enter to being the process.

    The file system conversion process should not take very long and the on-screen details are fairly intuitive.

    Once completed, your FAT32 drive will be converted to NTFS. Close the Command Prompt window and you’re all done.

    See how it goes and please let me knows. If you already tried this, let me know everything you already tried and did not work.
