Error 0x800700aa when installing Gears 5 Ultimate Edition

It's definitely not malware. This is a new laptop and the only thing installed on here are games in Steam, Origin, Epic Game Store, and Xbox (Beta).

For AV software, I'm using Windows Defender. I would assume Microsoft's Xbox (Beta) client plays nice with its own AV software.

I find it odd that I can install other games in Xbox (Beta), but not Gears 5.

I'll try the SFC Scan, as my suspicion is that there is some issue with the fact that I had the game installed before. Maybe there's a corrupted or broken file from the prior installation that's still floating around somewhere.

Same issue here with Ori and the Will of the Wisps. I did pre-installed the game earlier, dawnloaded ~12mb, I believe, and now when it should update to full 15Gb I get the same error.

The other games from PC GamePass are fine - FH 4, Gears 4, Gris, etc.

UPD: It did installed on the other disk. How can we fix that?

Any updates on here? I had Gears 5 Installed and played since day 1.

I woke up today with Gears 5 no longer installed, and attempting to reinstall it, it downloads 214.12mb and errors out with 0x800700AA (

Tried all forms of troubleshooting I can find online, any help would be appreciated

Note: I'm unable to install Gaming Services app either, which is apparently required. No idea what's going on lmao

I did not pre order using my credit, but i installed gears 5 ultimate edition in the microsoft store, how do i cancel that as in the store it does not show that the pre ordered gears 5 ultimate edition
