Error 0x80070005 when i want to download a game !!!

We understand that you are trying to download a game from your subscription of Xbox Game Pass with error code: 0x80070005. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

We appreciate you have provided the troubleshooting you perform however, resetting computer is somehow advance. We would like to ask if you can provide more details about your concern.

1. May we ask for a screenshot of the issue? Please conceal any personal information.

So far, from the details you provided, you can try the following steps and let us know the result. You can just skip those you have done already.

Method 1:

Please see the troubleshooting available on this link for installation and launching - Troubleshoot issues with the Xbox App for Windows

Method 2:

Repair your apps and clear cache the Microsoft Store. Please use this guide for repairing Xbox app.

Please go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Select the app you want to fix. Select the Advanced options link under the name of the Microsoft Store. On the page that opens, select Repair if it's available. If it isn't available, select Reset.



Clear the store cache by typing “wsreset” in the Windows search bar. Run this as admin and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

Method 3: Run system scans

Run a full system scan. This will check and restore corrupted system files.



In Windows search bar, search for Command Prompt and Run as Administrator.

Copy the command below one line at a time and paste it on Command Prompt:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

SFC /scannow

I will also add that when I tried to move the game to C drive the download stop and shows the error 0x80070005.

I obtain the error 0x80070005 after download , when the installaller start

Becouse you have the error 0x80070005.

Try to download Vampyr for example and you'll see error 0x80070005 .

You can't play metro for this error
