Error 0x000000001 when i try to install on Gamepass PC

Solution 1: Reset Windows 10 store & Xbox app

1. Open Settings.
   
2. Go to Apps -> Apps & features.
   
3. On the right side, look for Microsoft Store/Xbox App and click it.
   
4. The advanced options link will appear. Click it
   
5. Next, click on the Reset button to reset Microsoft Store/Xbox App to default settings.

Solution 3: Reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:

1. Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type PowerShell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and select Run as administrator.
   
2. In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
   
3. get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
   
4. In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
   
5. start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
   
6. Install the App on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
   
7. Restart your device and try to install the game again.
   

Solution 4: Play games offline on Windows 10 using Offline mode; this error could also be attributed to issues with the Microsoft store not recognizing your entitlement to the game. Then scroll down and click on the drop-down arrow and look at the steps for How to enable offline play on your device.

Solution 5: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files If some Windows functions aren't working or Windows crashes, use the System File Checker to scan Windows and restore your files. Sometimes corrupted files can cause issues.

Solution 6: Create a local user or administrator account in Windows . Sometimes you can have a situation with permissions or profile corruption. Please follow the steps in this link to see if that fixes the current issue you are having.

Ive tried all of those steps and still cant download any games. It's odd because it worked just a week or 2 ago when i got Halo and Craftopia off gamepass. Any other suggestions on what i could try

Apologies for the delayed response as I was away for the year. Have you been able to get your PC Game Pass games to install on your computer? You mentioned that they worked 2 weeks ago from your original post. Were there any updates you applied to your PC or updates to the app? Below are two additional recommended solutions.

Solution 1: Remotely install and manage games | Xbox Support we can try to remote install the games from your mobile device to the PC, as this has worked as a workaround to fix install issues.

Solution 2:

1. open the Xbox app
   
2. Sign-out
   
3. locate any game you wish to install, and press install
   
4. you will be prompted to sign in
   
5. Sign back into the app and hit install again
   
6. See if this starts the install with no errors
   

If these issues persist and all recommended solutions are not resolving the issue. The only solution I would recommend at that point is a clean install to fix whatever problems continue with the OS and Game Pass. I had had to clean install my PC once when I had a similar issue, and after doing that, I have been good to go with no problems.

I can't install any game on xbox game pass but it says error 0x000000001

Same error here, also not fixed after following all instructions you linked. What is it with these gamepass for PC games not installing correctly, ever? I've had the literal same exact error from trying to install VAMPYR before, all the way back at the
launch of gamepass for PC, and just now trying again, it still has this error. Fix your goddamn service already.
