Issue is known and it has been ackowledged. You can check for updates on the status page:

The following temporary fix may help until the issue is solved:

"If you are prompted for your Microsoft Account password and then receive error 0x80a4001a, do the following: Remove your Xbox account from the console and recover your account to the console. When
recovering, select either 'No Barriers' or 'Use a Passkey'."
