Ericsson Ericsson W35 Rocket Hub: Known Issues

For issues with "the MTU setting was too low". Try these steps found here:

    communityforums.rogers.com/.../124

This is from Widdogg who originally got the info from Crono.

"Much of this is quoted directly from Crono, but with some of my own tweeks that worked for me.

    1) MTU problem.

DO NOT LET XBOX FIND IT`S OWN IP ADDRESS.

    - Access the Rocket hub first. To do this, go to your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and hit enter. The default password should be [ user ]. If it isn't check your manual for another password.

    - Click on INTERNET menu on the left and on the right should be your DNS`s. Two of them. Write them down.

    - Now, go to your XBOX > MY XBOX> SETTINGS > NETWORK SETTINGS. You need to enter manually an IP address. Put in the subnet mask and the default gateway (the ones below should work). Exit out and enter into the DNS portion and put in the numbers you wrote
    down.

    Example.

    I.P. (removed for security purposes)

    Subnet 255.255.255.0

    Gateway 192.168.1.1

    DNS 1 69.31.192.11

    DNS 2 69.31.192.12

Once this is done you should not get MTU low anymore. I did not adjust anything in the Rockethub. Just made the XBOX dedicated. Keep in mind to, that you should do this to any other unit you have. Playystation, Wii, Laptop, PC. Just make sure each one gets
    there own separate IP address.

-Reboot the Rocket Hub after exiting.

    -Reboot Xbox

    2) Now, onto the Port Forwarding. Very easy.

-Enter into the hub again, and click on the NAT menu on the left.

-Make sure "Enable Upnp" is checked. I clicked all the boxes for the the Application Level Gateway supported protocols. Don't think it really matters.

-Now below that you will see Port Forwarding. Click on "Add Instance", you will get a new screen with:

    Protocol:

    NAT Port:

    Server IP:

    Server Port:

So EXAMPLE, say it is for Xbox Live. ports 3074, 80, 88, and 53 need to be opened. NAT port and Server port are the ports, 3074,80,88,53. The server IP is the unit you will be allowing access. In this case the Xbox (Now the IP you gave the Xbox,PS3,Laptop,Wii,
anything with an IP that you need to forward a port is used here). Protocol is either tcp or udp. Some ports require both some only tcp or udp. I did both to be safe.

    EXAMPLE:

    Protocol: tcp

    NAT Port: 3074

Server IP: (removed for security purposes)

    Server Port: 3074

    Protocol: udp

    NAT Port: 3074

Server IP: (removed for security purposes)

    Server Port: 3074

You will need to do this for every port required. Hit apply and when everything is said and done reboot the hub again and your Xbox/PS3, let it start up completely and do the network test again. Should go right through with no problems.

Again, I did NOT need to request a public IP address from Rogers in order for this to work.

If this doesn't work for you, then I would suggest following what Crono did at this topic using a Public IP :

    www.digitalhome.ca/.../showthread.php

Also, please note that the ports listed above are for Xbox only; I do not know what ports need to be opened for PS3 / Wii / etc, but I am sure that a google search would be able to find this info.

Hope that helps - happy gaming."

Since this is a form of in-game moderation, and not a ban issued by Xbox Enforcement, I suggest you visit the
Psyonix Rocket League forums for more help.
