EpicGames Account not connecting to xbox/microsoft account

With the error message "unable to connect accounts" in Epic Games, along with the statement that "another Xbox account was connected but none were connected," This can happen if another Xbox account is already linked to your Epic account.

Please verify Your Epic Account by going to the Epic Games website: http://www.epicgames.com/ and sign in to your account.

Hover over your username in the top right corner and click "Account".

Go to "Connections" and then "Accounts".

Check if your Xbox Live account is already listed under "Connected Accounts".

And if you see another Xbox account listed, unlink it by clicking the "Unlink" button next to it. Kindly confirm the unlinking process with your Epic Games account email.

Yes they appear in order history, it is a new epicgames account connected to my old xbox account

That's the goal, of course. But the EpicGames (Fortnite) account linked to MY email and MY Microsoft account has the money he spent for various things on it. I need to get that EpicGames account to be part of HIS log on. That's my problem.

When the game closes, do you receive an error code?

Even if you have done some of the steps below, please do them again, but in this order.

Uninstall the game, clear the local saved data, reset your console, and then reinstall the game.

After uninstalling the game, clear the local saved games.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

On the Manage storage devices screen, select: Clear local saved games. This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they'll still be saved to the cloud.

Then, reset the console:

Before you continue, make sure you've got the account sign-in information. You'll need it to log back into your console after the reset.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

Finally, reinstall the game.
