Epic account unlink from MS side

I'm afraid that won't work either. Sadly the only people that can assist you with this problem is Epic Support as Unlinking are not done on the Microsoft's end.

At the moment, there is no way to transfer game progress/purchases from one Microsoft account/gamertag to another so you are limited in what you can do on MS side.

If your son is only playing Fortnite and that's the only game involved though, you may check on Epic side if and how is possible to unlink and relink the epic account so that everything strictly related to the Epic account may be managed
in the process.

The account connection is made on Epic Games' side, so you have to unlink it from the Epic games account.

you need to log into your epic account to unlink it from your xbox account. go in your settings on epic and it should say linked accounts go to that n select unlink.

hope it helps

you would need to login to the ea account on ea website and unlink from there, unless they have changed it simular to epic.

Epic games changed earlier this year and locked accounts (you can unlink but only re link the xbox account with the exact same epic account)
