!Enforcement Team reset Strikes to Zero. Is this significant?

Hello there.

My 15 year old daughter has gone and got herself an Xbox account suspension, due to her rude - but totally private - chatting to her boyfriend, which seems very harsh, considering what some people seem to get away with on the site! But anyway, she got a ban and five Strikes.

The problem is, all my attempts to find out how long she will be suspended have fallen on deaf ears, no-one from the Enforcement Team will reply to me, but suddenly a few days ago, they apparently ‘wiped the slate clean’, as it were, and reset her strikes to Zero. Is this a precursor to her being allowed back on the Xbox again? I feel really sorry for her, she misses her games and she’s definitely learned her lesson!

there is no way to contact the enforcement team except for the appeal process. You would find all the records as to her enforcement

Yes, I kind of thought that, but it’s ‘only’ been three months - since Xmas, when she received her ban. I don’t know how to appeal as there’s no option.

As I say, it does seem incredibly harsh on her, she’s really little more than a big kid that got a bit carried away, but they just won’t reply explaining how it works.

If an appeal is available, it'll be listed on the enforcement site with the suspension. If the suspension itself is over, then it is no longer eligible for a case review. You also mentioned in your other thread that the console states it is banned. Console bans do not show on the enforcement site and there is no case review for those. Those are typically permanent.

As far as the account suspension dates. You should see something like this:

The first date is when the suspension was issued. The second date is when the suspension will end. Then the third is when the strikes expire. You need to look at the second date to see when her suspension is supposed to end or see if it was supposed to already end. If her account suspension has already ended, she can use the account. But if the console is banned, she will not be able to use that console.

As mentioned in your other thread strikes and suspensions can have different dates. Strikes reset after 6 months regardless of the length of suspension. An account can be permanently banned but the strikes will expire/reset before then.
