Enemy Within is backwards compatible...mostly

Gotta say that I was absolutely thrilled to discover that I dropped in my copy of Enemy Within, and it actually works!

The only thing that doesn't seem to work, for some strange reason, is the ability to take screenshots or record through GameDVR. Anyone have any idea why that is??

XCOM: Enemy Within Backward Compatibility?

Since XCOM: Enemy Within is on sale right now and the older XCOM: Enemy Unknow is Backward Compatible I just wanted to know if Enemy Within is also fully Backward Compatible or not?

Has anybody tested Enemy Within and can confirm whether it works it or not? Thanks.

 

XCOM Enemy Within is not installing off disk

I was able to install XCOM Enemy Unknown off my 360 disk, but Enemy Within is giving a message saying its not backward compatible. Anyone else having this problem?

 

I second this. I've been looking all over the internet to find a solution and have yet to find a single mention of this issue except here. The message it gives when saying "Xbox Record that!" is something along the lines of "That feature has been disabled
by the game" (in more or less words)

My only guess would be perhaps it will work "officially" after it's free date. Although I still would like more official word on this. For the moment, you can at least broadcast on Twitch. (I've tested and it works)

 

Yeah when you double tap the guide button, the options to Press Y for a Screenshot or Press X to Record That, simply don't exist. Strange.

 

It seems both Enemy Unknown and Enemy Within exhibit this behavior. Doubt we'll ever get an answer as to why, especially not in this ghost town of a forum.
