Emerging issue with apps not installing on Xbox Series consoles

About 30 minutes ago I tried to install the DTS Sound Unbound app on my Xbox Series X, but it would immediately jump to "Installation stopped". I tried the usual troubleshooting steps, but nothing helped. I then tried installing the Dolby Atmos app and that did the exact same thing.

I tried to use "Report a problem" to report the issue, but that's not working either. It says that there is an issue and to try again later, then you get left on a black screen with a loading circle on it until you force close the app.

There are people on Reddit saying that they can't install apps on their Series consoles too, with people first posting about this around 35 minutes ago.

Something is definitely not working properly. I'm just posting this so hopefully someone at MS/Xbox sees this.

I already reported it through the service status page, linking them to a few threads on Reddit.

Hopefully they'll get it sorted soon.

I receive the same ‘Installation stopped’ error right away when trying to install apps on my console as well. I’ve escalated this thread so that the Xbox team can take a closer look into the issue

In the meantime and as the Xbox report a problem app is ironically also not working, please report it as an outage here:

Yes, The console is up to date.. and yes I've tried install it remotely but same thing

I've tried using game pass app and xbox app to install it, I've tried hard restart, changing language and region, Resetting with keeping games and apps, using another account, but all failed to fix the issue.

My opinion is that somehow the store is mistaken and trying to install the series S/X version in my xbox one console, perhaps there's a bug making the store thinking this is series s and when I try to install the game it realizes that this is not compatible, but won't install the Xbox one version of the game as the store thinks this is series s

But it's just my opinion and most likely I'm wrong
