Email address associated with XBOX account

Technically transfers cannot be do but you can change the email address associated with a microsoft account.

In order to associate the gamertag with another account you will need to create a whole account with an email address and then do the following to associate the gamertag to that account. How
to change the email address associated with your Microsoft account

In order to keep things simple, can I call XBOX and ask them to associate his gamer tag to a new email address and remove my email completely without affecting his profile on XBOX or history?

If you log into xbox through microsoft you can access the account setting (in a browser on your computer or phone) and change the email address associated with the account.
