    i bought a new elite in march with it I bought the extra warranty now about 4 months later and my left stick ghosts to the point its unusable. Now i'm trying to set up a replacement and the site tells me my serial number is incorrect. does anyone know
    how to get warranty work done?

    For some reason, I was able to register my Series 2 under my Microsoft account when I bought it. I can go in a request a replacement from there, but not through the Xbox support site where it tells me the serial number doesn't exist.

    Try logging into your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com , register your controller under devices if you haven't, and hope it recognizes you have the extended warranty when you request a replacement

    I believe this is because Black Ops 2 stats were recorded through Call of Duty Elite and Ghosts is through a completely different system. Also CoD Elite got officially shut down last week, so you're too late to get it.
