Elite Support and grip/stick drift

So I've had the second elite controller die on me. The first one was RMA'd and replaced due to the rubber grips coming out and stick drift.

A little over a year later I've had the same issue. Again. The kicker is they will not extend the warranty and cover it since it is a month past.

I get it, and it is a wearable item. But there is a design defect. It was well cared for and adult-only used. I just can't justify selling a $150 item that won't last a year and they won't stand behind. A reasonable minimum is two years IMO, and if they
are all experiencing the same issue there is a design problem. I've looked up this problem and it is very common.

Anyone else have this issue, and was anyone able to get a replacement?

Xbox Elite Controller thumbstick drift

same.

my 1st elite: crash gumi grips. send back to service, but i buy a new one for this 2 week. Try this new: right stick drift to right...

ok, my 1st elite came back, try this. left stick drift to right (fresh new controller from ms service)

ok i sent back this 2 broken Elites.

1-2 week done, get 2 new fresh Elites... tested... both new Elite's (my 3rd and 4th) left sticks drift to right...

my last 5 Elites broken, 3 fresh from Xbox Support. Thats a big joke.

 

Controller Drifting

I have 2 Elites drifting to the right from the left analog stick.

 

The standard warranty for MS accessories is 90 days. Over that you can get your controller serviced but not replaced.

The grips that are coming off are on the replacement you got from the first repair? If so them only come with a limited warranty. They get the warranty that was left on your original one. Most accessories have a 90 day warranty. You can go try and request
a call back and see if a agent can help you out.

When you go to
Contact Us to get it to request a callback follow these steps:

• Step 1 ----select Xbox One
• Step 2 ----select no thanks, then select category system update
• Step 3-----gives some troubleshooting or help tips
  
• Step 4 ----select request a call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you.
