Elite Series 2 Thumbsticks have a wobble to them

Before you answer anything about the tension customization- I know, I have it as tight as I can get it.

The sticks have a wobble to them when just resting your thumbs on the sticks, I didn't think much of it until I saw that Steam's deadzone customization software detects the small millimeter length movements of the sticks going up and down as my thumbs rest on them. Almost like you can barely move them but controller isn’t acknowledging it as a direct input to move forward, backwards, etc...

The sticks also click when I move them, like they sound sticky or something (no pun intended)

All my controllers have been plagued with this EXCEPT for my very first XBSX controller that came with the console.

It's a $200 controller, what gives? What's with the cheap build quality, am I just unlucky with getting back to back defective controllers, guess I could be considered lucky depending on how many times I've defied the odds of getting a controller with the same exact issue, even a brand spanking new Elite controller (that took 5 days to get to me even with expedited 2day shipped though I'm like 8 hours away from where the controller shipped from)

Do I send yet again, this controller back for a replacement? I hope I don't have to ship the controller first before they send one out. I enjoy the controller but the wobble is just massively annoying and pulls me out of focus, whilst this is a competitive controller meant to be played with a focused mind.

Try reverting the controller update and see if that helps.

If this does not help, you may need to send the controller in for a service and unfortunately, the only option for that is to send it first before getting another one back.

There are times that due to the update, it would cause some hardware issues. I understand that you do not really think this would help but that is just part of the steps we can do since we cannot repair controllers on our own and if that controller will need repairs, you would have to send it in using the warranty.

Don't want to sound snarky but, how would reverting software help a hardware issue at all?

Each Elite controller series 2 comes with 1 set of paddles. You can order replacement paddles, thumbsticks etc.

Series 1 paddles, thumbsticks is not compatible with series 2.
