    Elite Series 2 input delay issue

    I bought my Elite Series 2 about 4 months ago, it was working like a charm and I haven't noticed any issues with it and it happened to be my favourite controller. But about a week ago, all of a sudden I started noticing input delay. I didn't change any settings on my monitor/Xbox and the controller itself, the delay sort of started happening. It's strange because a day before it was fine but the next day I logged in to play and noticed the delay. I have been trying to find a fix for the issue for about a week and didn't find a way to deal with it. I use the controller wired (with the cable that came with it) so it should be a minimum input delay. Please help because it's not fair for an expensive and advanced controller like the Elite Series 2 to experience such problems that have no solution to it.

    I will include below all the things I tried to fix the issue but didn't work:
    1. I tried reverting to old firmware using the Xbox Accessories app on Xbox series X - didn't fix it - on the old firmware, I still experience input delay.
    2. I tried different USB ports on the Xbox - 1 port was giving more delay than the others (it's the same port I used to plug in my controller before the issue emerged), the other ports outputted less input delay but still there's a noticeable delay and not like before.
    3. The slot I normally use on the controller for my game has the Default sensitivity curve and Axis-independent Calculation (it always has been that way and hasn't changed), other profile slots have different sensitivity curves, but they also started to feel delayed than before.
    4. deleting profile slots, and adding them again - didn't fix it - still experiencing input delay.
    5. changing the resistance of the right thumbstick (it's where I feel the most input delay in games) to the lowest resistance, still feeling delay. (I used to play on the highest resistance and feel an accurate response, now it's on the lowest resistance and the response is delayed)

    I want to add that the delay also feels inconsistent, it feels like the delay goes up exponentially. what I mean is sometimes the delay gets more delayed and after a short time, you start to feel less delayed, but not completely gone. ( I can feel that while I'm playing a match in my game)

    I will list here the hardware I use and the settings for my controller for more clarification on the issue and about my situation:
    1. I play on Xbox Series X
    2. I always play on a Wired Ethernet cable, to get the best response on online games
    3. Xbox storage is not full, actually it's 47% full.
    4. I play on a gaming monitor, not on a TV, so the response time is more accurate ( as it felt before the issue appeared and everything was fine )
    5. my elite controller firmware is up-to-date now
    6. my elite controller's right thumbstick is on the lowest resistance, left thumbstick is on the highest resistance, and left thumbstick is on a fully aggressive sensitivity curve ( both are on Axis-independent Calculation )

    As I stated before, I tried all the possible solutions that I could think of, but not a single one of them fixed the issue, it seems like the controller is defective.
    I will also include, that I used different controllers to check if the delay is from the game, the Xbox or the Elite controller, the other controllers worked fine, so that's what brought me to conclude that the issue is from the Elite series 2 controller. ( I used the Razer Wolverine Tournament edition to test that, since it is only wired I can compare more accurately and the Razer Wolverine Tournament edition felt more accurate response time).

    :)

    Xbox elite series 2 input delay.

    Hello!

    Hope you are well. I'll be glad to assist you.

    I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

    If the problem persists even after updating, please try the following process.

    1. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

    2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox.

    3. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

    4. Press the Power button on your Xbox to turn it back on.

    5. Pair your controller and console again and check if the problem persists.

    If so, is the issue specific to this controller, or have you noticed the regular controller behaving the same way?

    Have you tried connecting the Elite controller to another device to see how it behaves?

    I will be attentive to your response.

    Best regards.

    INPUT LAG GAMEPAD ON SERIES X ON GAMES BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE

    I’ve been looking for this for a few days now, and I am having the exact same issue. It is NOT a controller issue, it is completely due to the Xbox series X. In my case, I played call of duty Black Ops (1) on my Xbox one , everything was smooth and even played BETTER than on the 360. I recently got the Series X and it made this game nearly unplayable. I know this isn’t a controller issue due to the fact that I am using the same controller for the Xbox one. (It’s a series X controller) the issue specifically that I’m having is with the stick input delay. I move the stick and there’s a noticeable delay when it moves the characters view in game( input). it makes it extremely hard to play FPS games (that rely on looking around with the analog stick) that are reverse compatible (xbox 360 games). Again, no issue on the Xbox one, only the series X. I’ve had to other issues with this on current gen FPS games. Although I do feel the same input delay when I play Overwatch 2. I’m not sure if that is a related issue or just one of the OW2 unique crossplatform setup. I’ve changed look sensitivity for Black Ops, thinking it was that did not change a thing. This is my favorite game and the main reason I got the series C and I’m extremely disappointed I can’t enjoy the game anymore with this issue .

    Dolby Atmos delay on Xbox Series X

    Updated:

    I found that my soundbar SONY HT Z9F soundbar use HDMI 2.0 of which bandwidth is 18gbs connect to my TV using eARC port, so I changes my HDMI to

    8K HDMI of which soundbar is 48gbs, and the delay improve a lot that it is hard to notice now.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    I have tested. My set is

    TV has enable eARC and set sound passthrough, HDMI BITSTREAM. XBOX SERIES allows PASSTHROUGH.

    XBOX SERIES X --> LG 65 QNED90 --> SONY HT Z9F (eARC)

    there is very noticeable delay on Atmos but don't have delay on any uncompressed sound like 5.1 or 7.1

    XBOX SERIES X --> SONY HT Z9F (eARC) --> LG 65 QNED90

    the atoms sound is sync with image, but I got a ton of delay on controller input, so I set TV image mode to Game Optimize,

    and set game mode to FPS, the controller input delay is gone, but now, i got atoms delay back...

    By the way, because my TV doesn't support DTS - X PASSTHROUGH, so when I connect XBOX to my soundbar, I could enable DTS X, and DTS X is working perfectly and there is no any delay comparing to Dolby Atmos.

    Razer Blade 15 with RTX 2070 MAX Q --> LG 65 QNED90 --> SONY HT Z9F (eARC)

    I don't have any input or atmos sound delay in this set.

    So here is conclusion:

    xbox series x has issue to passthrough Atmos content, even thought it is directly connect to sound bar, the sound or TV try to delay image to sync with atmos sound which causes a ton of input delay. But once you set the TV into low legacy input mode to get rid of input delay, the Atmos sound delay will be back.

    And Razer blade 15 with RTX 2070 MAX Q which is PC is perfectly working at Atmos without any issue.

    So this is definitely XBOX SERIES X ISSUE!!!!
