Elite Series 2 Controller shows as "Paired" with PC, but wont stay connected

I just recently got an Elite series 2 controller to game with on my PC and the setup seemed easy enough. Make sure PC bluetooth is on, hold pair button and let them pair, PLAY!

It didnt work out that way. My PC had a very hard time finding the controller as a bluetooth device and wont find it at all any other way. Once it does find it, it will lose it over and over and take several tries before it pairs completely. My PC doesnt find it automatically, I have to manually click ADD bluetooth device to even look for it.

Once it says connected and paired, the XBOX logo stays flashing white and doesnt stop. The controller doesnt really work at all. Occasionally, the light will go solid and it will work, but generally only for a second or two, then it goes back to flashing and isnt responsive. It seems like the bluetooth connection simply wont stay or isnt very good.

I have tried:

-Unpairing and repairing multiple times

-trouble shooting bluetooth issues

-updated controller(The xbox accessories app wont see controller unless its plugged in)

- tested the controller when plugged in with the usb, works fine

I am on Windows 10 and have several other bluetooth devices connected that dont show any problems at all staying connected

Would you please try to unpair all bluetooth devices connected to your computer right now and try to pair only the controller to see if the issue persists?

I had already done mots of the steps on that page, but I went ahead and did a few more of the others.

I also dont currently have anything else bluetooth attached to the pc. Everything is USB.

Still having the same issue if I dont leave the controller plugged in.

I have the same issue:

* the plain Xbox controller (non elite) connects via bluetooth to the TV and is recognised by the Xbox cloud app on my Samsung TV. I can use it to play games using the Samsung Xbox app.

* the brand new Xbox Elite Series 2 controller connects via bluetooth to the TV and is NOT recognised by the Xbox cloud app.

I tried several attempts deleting the pairing, re-pairing. Turn off TV on the power switch. Re-installing the Xbox app on the Samsung TV.

The result is always the same:

* The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller connects successfully to the TV and is shown as Paired and Connected in the Samsung TVs feature where you add external devices.
* But the Xbox app shows the yellow ! exclamation mark and does not recognise the Elite Controller.

I’ve paired my other non Elite standard Xbox controller now vie Bluetooth and USB, which works both.

So long as its paired correctly through the Xbox Game Streaming App, then yes, the Elite and Elite Series 2 controllers should both work on a mobile device via Bluetooth and wireless pairing on Android.

I got it to connect to my ipad Pro 11 IOS 13.2. But it is having trouble staying connected. For newer bluetooth devices Apple put the pairing under the Switch Control menu.

To get it connected go into Settings, Accessibility, Switch Control, Bluetooth Devices. Then put the Xbox One Elite Series 2 into pairing mode and it should show up here. It takes a good couple minutes to finish pairing for some reason. I had it connected
the first time and it was good but now its disconnecting and reconnecting a bunch. Not sure why. FYI, this is also where you can connect bluetooth mice to use it with a virtual desktop app.
