Elite Series 2 Controller repair botched, Xbox Customer Support not helping

I can’t believe I’m even having this issue.

It has taken me 1.5 years to get back an Elite Series 2 controller that I sent in for warranty repair along with its accessories. However, the controller has not worked since I’ve received it back. I’ve tried several times to get it fixed; all of them told me it would be escalated and I never heard back from a single one of them. I called a couple of weeks ago and two different reps gave me two different answers. One said it was too late for repairs, another said it would be escalated. Haven’t heard back. I am at my wit’s end. I demand my controller repaired properly and I demand adequate compensation for having to call 11 different reps and spending 12 hours on the phone just to get my $170 controller back (that I haven’t had for 18 months). If I don’t hear from an Xbox Customer Support manager in the next 5 business days, I will be pursuing legal action. I will provide the necessary information, but I request direct contact because every time I call Xbox Customer Support, I run in circles and nothing happens. This is not a threat; it is a promise. I will hire a lawyer and sue.

    :)

Sent ES2 controller in for repairs almost 1.5 years ago, still dealing with it

Thank you for your response. ES2 controller stands for Elite Series 2 controller, which is a Microsoft product. XCS stands for Xbox Customer Support.

    Elite 2 Controller Mapping Letdown

    Hi PsycoPyro88,

Thanks for the reply. The Elite controller series 2 has various methods of mapping the buttons and paddles as compared to the series 1. If you haven't done so already, I recommend taking a look at the following support articles that
can assist you in determining how to set up the different functions, including how to use Shift with the controller to give you alternate inputs:

    Xbox Accessories App: Remapping Triggers

    Hello Jake98,

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your passion, and invite you to leave feedback directly to Team Xbox here: Provide feedback to Team Xbox | Xbox Support

However, I would also like to point out that, where customization is limited on regular Xbox Controllers, you can customize and remap just about everything on an Xbox Elite Wireless Series 2 controller with the Xbox Accessories app.

You can make up to 3 profiles for different set ups for different games. (Forza specific set-up, Halo, specific, etc.) to play your preferred way.

So you can make your LB act like RT, or vice-versa. You even have additional (removable) paddles on the back of the controller for extra control and customization.

Core 2 stick tension vs Standard Series X controller tension

    Hello ShivaPike,

Welcome to the Xbox Community Forum! Thank you for sharing your concern with me today, I hope you're doing well. I understand that you have a question regarding the stick tension on the standard Series X controller and how it compares to the Elite Series 2 controller.

The standard Series X controller has a default stick tension that is not adjustable. However, the Elite Series 2 controller has adjustable stick tension with three different settings as you mentioned in your question. With the Elite Series 2 controller, you can increase or decrease the stick resistance according to your preference.

I understand that increased stick resistance may be helpful for you due to your neurological condition. I recommend trying out the Elite Series 2 controller in-store or with a friend who owns one to see if the highest resistance setting is suitable for you before making the investment.

Here is a link to the official Xbox support page that provides more information on adjusting the stick tension on the Elite Series 2 controller is the same link you provided: Adjust the sticks on your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 | Xbox Support

You may check try to check if customization of the controller could be your preference: Xbox Adaptive Controller | Xbox

I hope this information helps! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Sincerely,

Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 - A button opens Xbox Game Bar

    Hi all,

One of our Support team, mentioned a solution that is easy and fast to do. May we know if anyone from here have tried to do remapping their Controller's button? If this is the first time you have heard about this. Kindly check this quick video of how Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 works - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qflhejZNTGA

Now, this advance Controller offers exclusive option to create profile to customize button mapping that you can do using Xbox Accessories app. Here are steps on how to create a controller profile:

    1. Using your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, open the Xbox Accessories app.
    2. Scroll to the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, then select Configure.
    3. Select New profile, give your profile a name, then configure your changes. For example, if you reassign D-pad down  on the face of the controller to the Y button , then the D-pad down  will act as the Y button  going forward.
    4. When you’re done, press the B button  for the changes to take effect.
Create multiple profiles in the app and switch between them using the built-in Profile button.

    1. Open the Xbox Accessories app, scroll to the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, then select Configure.
    2. In Profiles, select a controller profile you’ve created or create a new one.
    3. Choose a slot.
You can assign a slot for up to three profiles. Press the Profile button on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller 2 to switch between them. When no bars appear lit below the Profile button, the controller is using the default button mapping.

    Assign Shift key button:

Assign buttons to act as shortcuts for system actions like “Record that” and “Take screenshot.” When you select a button to remap, choose Primary or Shift, go to the Action tab, then choose an action from the list. When you’re done, press the B button  for the changes to take effect.

Note System actions are currently not available on Windows 10.
