    Elite Series 2 Controller Issues after Warranty Expiration


    Anyone else having issues with their controller!? What am I supposed to do with the following? Is there replacement parts? The little rubbers on the bottom trigger selection fell off and can't put them back. Exposing sharp points. The left bumper is semi-failing.
    I have to press hard sometimes for things to pop up, be used, etc in games. I mean... for the price and warranty being expired as of March.... this is ridiculous. I am VERY disappointed in the controller.

    I have had an Elite Series 2 Controller for about two months now, I'm sorry to see that you are having issues with it. I have not experienced any trouble in mine, however.
    You'll start to find problems after the warranty expires

    Xbox Elite Controller Series 1 Warranty

    Unfortunately, your warranty period expired in February. For Elite Controllers, it's 12 months in the UK and 90 days in the US (unless purchased in an Elite bundle, which is 12 months). If you attempted the RMA process prior to the warranty expiring, customer
    support might make an exception.

    Personally, I would keep contacting support regardless of the warranty period expiring, as Microsoft knows these controllers are defective. In the US, there was an unofficial program offering a one-time free replacement to Series 1 owners.

    For anyone else reading this response in the future:

    Never buy Xbox Elite Controllers, including Series 2. They are overpriced and faulty.

    I had to exchange my Elite Series 2 two times before I got one that didnt have button issues. Not sure what causes this. Im sorry to hear that this happened after your warranty expired.

    They recently extended the warranty for elite 2 to one year. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/elite-controller-series-2-warranty . maybe this will help
