We understand your sentiment when using Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller. This is not the experience that Microsoft wishes you to have. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

To address your concern, may we know if you are connected to PC or Xbox Console? The Xbox Controller if connected through PC needs to be updated using Xbox Accessories app same if you are connect to Xbox Console you will need to update it on Settings. There could be factors you will be having disconnects when you connect Xbox Controller wirelessly like any device (mobile phones, rechargeable gadgets) near the Xbox Controller and PC / Console will likely cause the interference of connecting device or could be the distance or could be the set up of Xbox Controller on accessories app. However, if the issue is not in any way the same as describe above. Then the issue could be the controller is defective.

To properly isolate your concern, we will be asking some questions. Please provide details/information for us to give more accurate isolate of your concern.

May we know if this issue happens when connected to other devices?

When did this issue happen? Was there a recent Windows update or new application installed on your device?
