    Elite Series 2 charging issues


    My Elite series 2 controller charges just fine on the charging dock. But if I unplug the dock and plug the cable into the controller itself, it won’t charge. Very annoying because if my controller dies, I can’t play while it’s charging.

    Hi Noah G! I hope you are well, delighted to be able to offer you my help!

    It is an honor to talk to you and try to help in whatever way is necessary, don't worry, I will do everything possible to help you solve this problem.

    If you connect it to a console or PC with the cable, does the controller turn on? Does it interact with the device you connect it to?

    If your controller doesn't work, try another cable. The Series 2 cable must be a USB to USB C cable. The cable must be able to send data in addition to charging; Most cables designed for phones and tablets that use USB-C are capable of sending data.

    If your controller still does not turn on after changing the cable, then it is likely faulty and will need to be sent in for repair if it is still under warranty.

    Is this a way to get around the 99 dollar fee to fix it? It is crazy to think that Microsoft would charge for there repairs. I have had 3 original elite controllers fail (2 of which were covered by a warranty with the seller) and my new elite series 2
    controller has been having the same issue for several months. It is insane that the issue was so prevalent with the first series and was still a problem with the 2nd. Microsoft is aware of the issue and is charging people to fix it. This is nothing but a scam
    to make more money off of people who buy their product's!
