Elite Controller V1, frequent disconnections due to distance/wall, will a "USB over...

Greetings.

I have an "Elite controller V1" and I connect it to my PC, via the "Windows wireless adapter dongle". I have the older-bigger version(HK9-00004).

I experience a lot of disconnections while gaming and I also have frequent sound loss, whenever I have my headphones plugged in onto the controller.

The distance from the dongle to my controller is a little less than 3 metres(9.84 feet), but unfortunately there is a rather thick wall between them, as they are located in a different room. So I presume the distance/wall, to be the culprit.

I tried using a 5 metres(16.40 feet) USB extension cable, as this is around the minimal cable length needed, to bring the dongle to the other room(the ideal would be around 8-10 metres 26.24-32.80 feet), but this doesn't work.

On the internet, I've seen some people suggesting the use of a "USB over Ethernet Extension Adapter cable". Like this one for example, that doesn't need external power USB2.0 RJ45 Extension Adapter or like this one that needs external power WEme USB 2.0 Extender to RJ45 .



But I haven't seen anywhere a definite confirmation, that the controller will work wirelessly with the "Windows wireless adapter dongle" plugged on a cable extension like that. In a picture on the second link, it insinuates that the controller will work, but it shows it only being used wired.

So I would like to ask some questions:

1) Can someone confirm that a solution like this, will definitely work wirelessly with the dongle.

2) I can't seem to find affordable extensions of that nature, higher than USB 2.0. What is the "Windows wireless adapter dongle" specification, is it a USB 2.0 or higher? I cannot find information for it anywhere.

3) Does anyone have a better/alternative solution/suggestion?

4)Some time in the future, I am thinking of buying the "Elite V2 controller". I understand that it has a wider wireless range. Will it work better/without disconnections with the dongle on my current set-up, or is the wider range capability via Bluetooth only? And finally, will the "Elite V2 controller" work with the older dongle version I have, or does it need the new smaller one?
