    ELITE CONTROLLER 2 BUMPERS NOT WORKING.....AGAIN......


    I have an Elite Controller v2, and I really like it. But I'm worried that it has a serious manufacturing defect. The right and left bumpers stopped working after about a year, and I've read online that this is a common problem. I got a replacement under warranty, but the problem came back a few months later, and my warranty had expired.



    I tried to take it apart and clean it, and I followed some online guides to fix it, but nothing worked. Has anyone found a permanent solution to this problem?



    The controller is really comfortable, and I'm tempted to buy another one. But I can't afford to spend so much money on a product that I know is going to break down eventually.

    I     tried to fill out repair order, but, as mentioned above, those are the only options i got.

    Bumper IS a known issue, as you can see.

    Btw., it doenst matter what caused 2 years warranty, it is in place and i'm in the right to use it.

    Gears of war 4 is coming, and now.. So am I.

    i've had 2 - horrible, Right bumper and left bumper went off. Now they have no more replacements for GoW4 LE Elite Controllers. Absolutely horrible that such a pricey product is made with such low quality.

    elite series 2 controller

    Used elite first gen for years and just got good at replacing broken bumpers. I had high hopes for the elite 2 but sadly my elite 2 right bumper clicks but doesnt register input most of the time after only 2 months.

    submitted warranty claim, and will have them replace it - but even though i prefer the feel of the sticks and triggers on the msft controller, i am switching to razor wolverine.

    not matter how good it feels if a contoller doesnt control, its worthless.

    It is not possible to purchase bumpers for the elite controller directly from Microsoft, If the bumpers of your elite controller require replacing the controller would need to be sent to
    Microsoft repair centre for this.

    I bought 2 Elite and both left bumpers broke about 6 months into owning them...Really hope they make a better controller. $300 and now i have 2 broken controllers. What a joke!
