Elder Scrolls Online currently not recognising Live gold?

I had problems with ESO. Loading screens. Then I had problems with all the other games. I reset my console, I shared xbox live again, reinstalled ESO and everything worked fine until yesterday. As of today, I can't log into ESO at all. It tells me I need to be signed in on a profile with Gold.
The problem is I share family xbox live gold (no xbox pass) with my husband and my live status is online. I've tried restarting the game, power cycling the XBox, logging out of the profile and back in with the game open, nothing seems to convince the game that I have Gold. All my other online games are working perfectly fine. I can't buy the game since it says I already own it. I shared it with my husband.

Hmmm, seems from what my friends are saying and from what I see on my dashboard like there's a full blown XBox Live outage just kicked in sometime in the last five minutes since I posted this, with friends and communications unaffected but the store completely dead and all games losing multiplayer. so I'm guessing the service status page just hasn't caught up to this. I just had all the ads on the dashboard vanish, can still chat but that's about it. That's probably what's responsible, and ESO was just one of the first games to lose services it relied upon.

Looks like you are right, it took me 11 attempts to log into the xBox app alone, it kept on throwing me different errors, checking the status page though there are no reported issues with it so it could be something of the last 30 minutes or so

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind : D it beats all. But if you're talkin bout current gen, then The Elder Scrolls Online by far.

Hello Clarke,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. The Elder Scrolls Online does need Xbox live gold. This game is purely online multiplayer, there is no single player content.
