Elden Ring crashing to home screen after transferring from XB1 to Series X?

I originally played Elden Ring at launch on my Xbox 1, loved the game put nearly 300 hours into my lone save file. I have not played the game again until the release of the Erdtree DLC, however in the interim between my original playthrough n pending DLC I upgraded to Series X. I did the updates I assumed I'd missed during that 2 year period then purchased and downloaded the DLC. Now it syncs from the cloud my save file over to Series X. I can start the game view my save and even load in, but after repeated attempts I'm thrown out to the dashboard over in over in less than 3 minutes of game time. Any assistance would be of great help, I mean I even bought a new 4k TV as to get the most from my Series X, specifically for this game? Talk about a bummer!

When the game closes, do you receive an error code?

Even if you have done some of the steps below, please do them again, but in this order.

Uninstall the game, clear the local saved data, reset your console, and then reinstall the game.

After uninstalling the game, clear the local saved games.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

On the Manage storage devices screen, select: Clear local saved games. This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they'll still be saved to the cloud.

Then, reset the console:

Before you continue, make sure you've got the account sign-in information. You'll need it to log back into your console after the reset.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

Finally, reinstall the game.

If it still doesn't work, you will need to contact Software Support:

Hello! Xbox Ambassador House Baelish here! I can also confirm Elden Ring, Crusader Kings 3 and WWE 2k22 all say they don't allow livestreaming. What is odd is that WWE 2k22 and Elden Ring will still display game footage whereas the newly released Crusader Kings 3 on series x will not allow any feed at all.

This is my exact situation. was playing elden ring, the headphones randomly disconnect, as they do from time to time, then when it popped back in caused the game to completely crash....

When you say home screen, are you referring to the dashboard or the Elden Ring title screen? Would you mind uploading any photos that may help? If you can, be sure that they do not include any personal identifiable information.

It’s possible that it may be network issue. I suggest that you try to connect to a different network and observe. You could switch from wired to wireless or vice versa or try your mobile data hotspot.

Please also try to delete your game’s local save and resync with the cloud.
