    Eject Issue on Series X

I would like to request that this is dealt with. It really ought not be an issue.

The issue is with the Series X detecting the disc in the machine. Latest instance is playing a game - requiring a disc that the machine obviously has to read in order to play - finishing the game and backing out to home screen, quitting the game to remove it from quick resume. I then press eject to change the disc and the Xbox instantly draws the disc back into the machine. If you anticipate this you can snatch the disc from the machine but this workaround is ridiculous and should not be needed.

What happened tonight - certainly not the first time - is that I forget that this happens, I attempt to remove the disc by pinching the hole, I am always careful to handle the discs properly, but the machine has already started to draw the disc back in meaning that I grab the surface of the disc marking it and fighting the mechanism that increases force applied and starts grinding away.

I have read on forums that people have experienced this on One S, One X and also Series X. It has only ever been my experience on Series X. The point is that predictable and useful operation of a disc eject system is hardly an obscure arcane art. Why are Microsoft apparently unable to build a machine that struggles in this area. Any wonder the Series X is being tanked by Sony?

    :)

    Series X disc drive question

    I'm pretty sure, TylerG5.

As a console gamer, I've inserted and ejected discs hundreds of times across my Xbox consoles (Xbox 360, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series X), and to this day, I've never had any issues with them.

Constantly inserting and ejecting discs is considered normal usage for a console, so it should have no impact on the state of your console's disc drive.

    good evening

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble viewing your Xbox Series X on your TV. Here are some things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Check the HDMI connection: Make sure the HDMI cable is properly connected to the Xbox Series X and the TV. Check the HDMI cable or HDMI ports on your devices for visible damage.

Check TV input: Make sure your TV is set to the correct input for the HDMI port your Xbox Series X is connected to.

Restart Xbox Series X: Try restarting your Xbox Series X by holding down the power button for 10 seconds until it turns off, then unplug it and wait a few minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.

    Reset display settings:

If there is a disc in the console, eject it.

On your console, press and hold the Xbox  button for 10 seconds to turn it off.

Press and hold the Xbox  button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You will hear a beep immediately and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash before the second beep. Don't let go until you hear the second beep or see the console boot into low-resolution mode (the Xbox boot screen will appear slightly pixelated).

Note If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you will need to press and hold both the Xbox  button and the Pair button as your console does not have an Eject button.

Check for updates: Make sure you have the latest update for your Xbox Series X installed. Updates can sometimes fix display issues.

    Hope these suggestions help!
