edit xbox clips on xbox app on pc and upload it

Hello, when i make xbox clips on my xbox, i upload them to xbox live. than i can open my xbox app on pc and edit them in that app. for example cut them. my problem is, that i cant upload them to xbox live or my feed after editing them. it says that it is
not possible because the game cannot be recognized.... is there a way to upload them after editing them on pc? i mean.. there is the upload button so there has to be a way right? or the button there would make no sense.... i dont want to sit there many minutes
while my xbox is uploading them when its possible to do it on my laptop.

Can't share Game Clips?

I'm trying to upload a game-clip to show my friends what I clipped on PC. I was able to clip it with the Xbox Game Capture and edit it through Xbox App but when I click "Upload" it shows an error message saying, -

"You can't share game clips

There might be a problem with the service, or it could be because of privacy settings or past behavior. To check your privacy settings, go to Xbox.com"

All I'm trying to do is upload a clip from the Xbox App on Windows 10...

You can . Then just download it and edit it on the pc.

downloading is not the problem,, i can do that with the xbox app on laptop aswell, i want to upload them after editing, to my activity feed

 

I recommend you download videos from Xbox DVR - View your Xbox clips and screenshots, and then edit them with a special program, such
as camtasia or vegas pro.

 

first of all i dont want to spend money on that xD vegas pro is really expensive isnt it?

second i want to upload them to my activity feed after editing on pc, THAT is the problem, not downloading...

i want to know how to UPload the clips to my activityfeed after editing them on pc... and with editing i mean cut them in half or something like that, nothing too complicated and the xbox app does have that option, however i dont understand why i cant upload
them after editing, that makes the whole upload button in that app useless...

is my english really that bad that nobody understands what i mean ... ;(

 

Hey Bastian, I understand you. You want to create a game clip then download it onto your computer from the Xbox App, then trim it in the Xbox App right?

Have you checked if your clip storage is full?

 

and after i trim it i want to upload it to xbox live and the activity feed. and the problem is that is says that it cant recognize the game (where the clip is from) in order to upload it. to upload it the app needs to know which game the clip is from or
something like that i guess. but that information gets lost after downloading and editing... downloading works just fine... slip storage? i still upload clips from my xbox so that shouldnt be a problem...

Please attempt the following if using the Xbox App on a Windows PC:

Here are steps below on how to uninstall and reinstall Xbox app:



1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.



2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.



3. Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage
*xboxapp*| Remove-AppxPackage



4. Hit Enter.



Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.

Try this out for us and let us know if this works.

unfortunately the problem is still there. when i hit the upload button after editing it it stil says that it is not possible to upload. the game can not be recognized (not in this words, i have got the german version of course

i dont even know if this is my problem or a generel problem for everyone. is the upload button working for enybody?

 

is there maybe another way to upload videos from pc to xbox live and activity feed? if it is really not possible with the xbox app

 

Hi Rastigan,

The only videos that are eligible for upload is if they have been recorded using the Game DVR, if a video is taken from Game DVR and edited externally, the Xbox App will recognize the file as external and not allow it to be uploaded.

but why does the xbox app on pc count as external? there is even an upload button after downloading it in the app... that should be possible... would making clips on console soo much easier. plsss microsoft, fix that would make life sooo much easier
