    Edge interface broken on Xbox one


    Hello,

    I have an issue in Microsoft Edge on Xbox One that is quite annoying and is preventing me from using the browser.

    What's happening is that the interface is corrupted, some characters are replaced by symbols and there are some weird red squares in the window as shown in the figure.

    It began a few weeks ago. It had stopped for some time but came back this week.

    I cleared the cookies and the history but without success.

    I have an Xbox One S. My browser settings are the default ones.

    The program miraculously started working fine after a few days.

    Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

    We understand that you need help with your Microsoft Edge on your Xbox One console. I would like to ask if are you part of the Insider program? Also is this happening to other apps or only this specific app?

    For the mean time, you may try to uninstall the reinstall the Microsoft Edge app. If the issue persist you may try to reset the Microsoft Edge profile settings, however it will remove all your customization to the browser.

    Thank you for your reply.

    I am not enrolled in the Insider program and the issue only occurs on Microsoft Edge.

    I tried to uninstall the app but I did not find this option. I even thought that this wasn't possible. Can you help me do this?

    I also reset the profile settings, but it did not give any result.

    Hi Jamie,

    I'm sorry to hear that clearing the data for the Edge app did not work.

    Did you try the hard power cycle and/or the soft factory reset that I mentioned earlier? I think the software needs to be reset since the Edge app is built into the system and those troubleshooting steps will be beneficial. The steps are listed above as
    well.

    Please try out those steps and let us know the results or if you have any other questions.
