Easy Anti-Cheat not working with Xbox App Games.

Please uninstall the game and install it again, check for permission for easy anti cheat app also

I understand that you are having trouble launching Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Dead By Daylight using the Xbox App because of Easy Anti-Cheat errors. I apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this may have caused you.



To better assist you, I would like to ask you a few probing questions:



- Have you checked if your Windows 10 is up to date? Sometimes, outdated Windows versions can cause compatibility issues with Easy Anti-Cheat and Xbox App games.

- Have you tried running the games as administrator? This can help resolve some permission issues that may prevent Easy Anti-Cheat from working properly.

- Have you scanned your system for any malware or viruses? Some malicious programs can interfere with Easy Anti-Cheat and cause it to fail.

Here are troubleshooting steps we can perform to try and fix the issue:

- Make sure your Windows 10 is up to date. You can check for updates by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

- Make sure your Xbox App and Game Services are up to date. You can check for updates by going to Microsoft Store > More > Downloads and updates.

I would like to clarify a few things:

1. If it was based on malicious software or the firewall on my computer, wouldn't it effect every client, including Steam and Epic Games, which it doesn't?

2. I use Windows 11, but even still it is up to date, and even if it was because of this issue, wouldn't it do it with every client as stated in the last point?

3. After reading this I did attempt to run TCM as admin, and it still did the same error message.

it is being intentionally crippled on linux. the game runs absolutely flawless on linux but as you say it is the anti cheat software, easy anti cheat software devs worked with valve to make it work perfectly fine in linux and using proton, other games that use easy anti cheat work fine.

the problem here is the devs only have to change one configuration file to make it work but they are not doing it for some reason. most likely to keep people hooked onto the windows platform.

so much for microsofts promise to make things work with linux.
